“And lose your respectability?”

(Julia Quinn: 2009, What Happens in London, pg257)

Looking at a brief exchange of dialogue between Lady Olivia Bevelstroke and Sir Harry Valentine, it –the content- certainly can be suggested or more likely arguably signified to be an act of degrading to the gender of women, not intentionally by the author I would presume but certainly much more of a portrayal of what the society was indicated to be or would have been during that era. All the wonderment, no, the bewilderment what rights do women have at that time? - mused cHristopher.
